|
|
So Im currently lv 12, all close attack lvs. And Im nearing that turning point of lv 15 where Ill decide what I wanna do with my character.
So Ive been rolling it over in my head and Ive come down to either Shadow Knight or Paladin.
I was wondering what the pros and cons are of each and what is a good suggested weapon setup.
Im currently using 2h swords but Ive tried lances and didnt really like them. The swords ok but its kinda slow for me but Im not sure if I wanna go down in damage just for some speed.
So yeah any advice would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks,
Corrie |

In older times I would have told you: "are you crazy? ... of course Shadow Knight!!!"
However, after the last update that sent energy drain to 10% of the enemy's HP, it really doesn't worth the effort of doing dark levels, even at R1.
Then, your choice of paladin would be a good one, blessing shield is as good as a double white buff against monsters and is the only protection skill that works in pvp.
For the weapon, continue with your sword until level 15, make your white levels and then you will be R2, at that time you will have saved enough money selling cards to buy a +12 scramasax (boss drop). Forget about the slow weapons at R2 since the scramasax is powerful enough to train at R2, and gives you the plus that you may use a shield, average enchanted alloy armor is not good enough to face monsters in maps beyond neris, unless you like to waste pots.
When you reach R3, if you get a good armor (and when I mean good, I mean a high enchanted elf set) then you will probably be able to use a 2h weapon.
Hope this helps. |

lol.... ok.
Check this page:
http://deicide.ongameport.com/sub_page/03_Advanced_skill.php
You said either Shadow Knight (15 close + 10 dark levels) or Paladin (15 close + 10 white levels)
Those hybrid classes have their own advanced skills, Shadow Knight has Energy Drain (drains 10% HP from the enemy) and Paladin has Blessing shield (it says 10% defense increased)
The truth is that energy drain used to be in the past the best PvP skill, draining 30% from the enemy's HP and could be used from stealth (10 close + 15 range), however now, after the last update, energy drain barely drains 10% from monsters (which is lame, your weapon could do more) and other players (same, 10% is nothing in a fight, and a waste of time if you have a fast weapon that surely would make more damage in the time you cast the skill). In other words, energy drain doesn't worth the effort of getting it.
For blessing shield, it works as good as a double white buff (white mages can cast protection skills over other players, and they get them at level 40, 70 and 90), that means, a paladin can have a protection against monsters as good as if he receives a protection from a level 70 cleric. Also, blessing shield is the ONLY protection skill that works in PvP. That gives it a plus.
Then, go paladin, and forget about shadow knight.
I guess that for the weapon I was clear enough... maybe. |

Thanks. That was the exact reply I was hoping for.
And yes you were pretty clear about the weapon, thanks.
Just one quick noobish question, how should I sell enchant cards?
To players or shops? |

Never, NEVER sell your cards to shops. Only 10500 shilds.
Depending on what server you are, the prices change, to check how are prices going just go to the trade map (Barter Square) through the warehouse guy in the map you are in (In this case Vail, go to Tuillmarr and click on Trademap), offer your cards there to the players, you can earn very good money. Armor Cards are more expensive than Weapon Cards in Vail server, prices can go as high as 1 million shild. |
