Guide to Beginners

1. Foreword
Hello my name is Kotoko and I will be sharing my experiences of Deicide. This guide is based off of extensive playtesting with close, range, and magic attack characters and is written to teach a person playing Deicide for the first time. Included are proper hunting areas for levels 0-30 and many tips to be successful in the game. Enjoy!

2. Introduction
When first starting the game, you will be asked to log-in, and afterwards you will be brought to the character creation screen. As of now there are 4 pure classes, with each class being able to mix with another, bringing a total of 16 (these are known as "hybrids"). What you want to be is up to you, as I have created my leveling guide to be as most fitting as possible to any class.

Upon first entering the Deicide game world, you will be in the town Vail. Run around to be acquainted with the location of the blacksmith (there are 2, one is for armor and the other is for weapons), shopkeeper, warehouse, and the outside hunting area. Afterwards, go ahead and head out.

3. Leveling

First, if you are going warrior, use on the hotkey that shows the sword. This will raise your close-attack level. If you are going archer, use on the hotkey that shows the bow. This will raise your range-attack level. If you are going wizard, use the fire spell. If you are going cleric, use the lighting spell. I will give detail on how to be a hybrid character later.

    Levels 0-7:
    BeholderCarnival Rat Hatchling

The only thing to worry from these monsters are the Hatchlings. Not only are they aggressive, but they cast a fire spell within a certain range. It is best to take them out once they are within your area.

As you are killing monsters and leveling, you will find Shild (Deicide's currency term) and maybe even equipment that you may use or sell.

Tip for hybrid players! If you wish to go hybrid, it is best to first level the physical skill first, then level your magic skill. This is important because it is much, much better for survival. If you level your magic skill first then go back to leveling your physical skill, you will be too weak to fight against monsters in close range. For example, if you wish to be a shadow knight, level your close-attack skill to 15, then level your dark magic skill to 10.

Once you turn level 7, go back to Vail and head to the blacksmith. Get the best weapon and armor possible with your money. Magic users can also head to the shopkeeper lady and buy the next magic scroll at level 5. Be sure to buy the one appropriate to your class!

    Levels 7-12:
    Zombie DogEvil Dog

Evil dogs are the ones to watch here. Aggressive, with almost 30 more hit points and greater attack than the weaker zombie dogs. Stay alert when you are gaining exp here!

Once you turn level 12, head to town and buy equipment if needed. Magic users can also head back to Vail at level 10 to buy the next magic scroll.

    Levels 12-15:
    GoblinGoblin Lancer

There are many Goblins here, with few Goblin Lancers scattered across the map. Only the Lancers are aggressive, so you can attack Goblins with ease.

When you turn level 15, you may buy the next magic scroll from the appropriate shopkeeper.

    Levels 15-20:
    King BholderOrc Orc Archer

While the King Bholders are aggressive, they shouldn't be a threat due to their slow movement. On the other hand, be careful of Orc Archers! They are ranged and are very powerful.

Orcs and Orc Archers drop nice items! It is not surprising to find an item that sells for 8,000-12,000 Shilds.

When you turn level 20, buy the next magic scroll and proceed to the area with Hobgoblins.

    Levels 20-25:
    HobgoblinZombie Werewolf

From this point on, things will get a little tougher. Be sure to buy plenty of red potions, especially when fighting Werewolfs!

When you turn level 25, you may change to the next class. In order to do so, you will have to find the correct class change item, which you may get through monsters or by trading with other people.

    Levels 25-30:
    SkeletonStone Golem Skeleton LancerSkeleton Leader

Be careful with the Skeleton Leaders! Supply yourself with red potions! And if you are not a magic attack character, buy some blue potions to help with mana point recovery.

When you turn level 30, buy the next magic scroll. Also, you may now wear rank 2 items, so be sure to stop by the blacksmith and buy better equipment. Equipment is essential in the world of Deicide.

4. Tips

    1. Kiting- If you are a ranged attack character (archer or magic), you may use a technique known as kiting. Upon attacking the enemy, move back, then attack again. Repeat the process until the enemy is dead. By doing so, you will lower the amount of times you will get hit from the enemy.

    2. Enchant cards- As you hunt through the game you will find weapon and armor enchant cards. They are very important, as they increase the attack for your weapon and defense for your armor. You may freely, without risk, enchant a weapon 5 times and an armor 3 times. From then on however, you will have to choose between two cards on the screen. One is success, and the other is failure. The following chances may occur on failure:

      Weapon
      6 ~ 10 - no change/-1/-2/weapon disappears
      11 ~ 20 - weapon disappears

      Armor
      4 ~ 8 - no change/-1/-2/armor disappears
      9 ~ 20 - armor disappears

    3. Horses - Although very expensive, horses are very fast and provide quick travel over long distances. Plus, you look very cool with them. The following horses are available:

      Brown horse - 1,000,000 Shild
Black horse - 3,000,000 Shild (level 50 requirement)
White horse - 7,00,000 Shild (level 75 requirement)

5. Writer's Opinion

Deicide is a very enjoyable game. The idea of mixing different classes will definately lead to interesting combinations of characters. I love the graphics, and the music is pleasing to listen to.

However, the controls may take some time to adjust. Clicking on the smaller enemies can be cumbersome, as you may accidentally walk towards the enemy rather than attacking it.

Overall, I am pleased with the game, and I hope we will see each other in the world of Deicide.

ROFL, kiting..u gotta kite at lvl 25 half way across the screen from what you posted as a monster unless your willing to run your mana clear dry for just 1 kill, and the ratio of gold dropped to pot spending is ridiculous, you will be broke in 2 bars with the xp table as its set now...it takes 10 kills to fill just 1 block of the bar..

And the mobs are so packed in and 2 types are hostile, you will get stomped while trying to kite them....

Nice guide though if your an uber char with uber equips, BUT since the enchanting doesnt work in game, guess you'll have to level up slowly...

Can you say...GRIND 5 days straight for 1 lvl...FIX THE EXP tables...
